| I
hate the feeling of being at home when
touring said GB.SHAW I will always endorse
that theory .why should anyone spend
money, time and energy to feel at home.
The idea is to feel ,understand ,absorb
and live the new place ,ist always
observed that many insist on eating
the same food which they ate before
boarding the flight/train or bus and
continue eating through out the tour
its a wrong way to tour -If i have
to Say .
Surprisingly there are reputed tour
operators who take great pride in
announcing the availability of HOME
FOOD while on tour .When one travels
the terrain,the climate ,the vegetation
changes and the reason being it is
more suited and its very much natural. To
quote one instance A group of students
from South of india traveled to Uttaranchal
and demanded Curd Rice at Auli which
is something like 3000mts above sea
level just because its their staple
diet and something which they call
Home food going by the standard set
by some so called reputed Tour Operators
we should have provide the HOme food
, but instead we educated the group
cold weather and high altitude at
AULI prescribes "Rajma and Roti'
which generates the much necessary
heat in the body to counter the cold
weather, when we transpired the idea
to the group they understood.
Educating the tourist is the key
responsibility of the tour operator
and not only regarding the food but
also culture ,ethics and cleanliness
of the local place.
Its said that basic difference between
a tourist and traveler is ............ |
